Orchestra Networks featured in MDM/RDM/MDG Field Reports by Aaron Zornes at MDM & DG Summit
Earlier this week we sponsored the MDM and Data Governance Summit in New York. This was a great conference with 400+ attendees and 40 sessions by thought leaders and MDM practitioners, including two of our customers: Credit Suisse and United Technologies.
This year for the first time, Orchestra Networks was included by conference chair Aaron Zornes in the three "Field Reports" : MDM (Master Data Management), RDM (Reference Data Management) and MDG (Master Data Governance). What is notable is that Orchestra Networks is the only vendor to be featured in those three reports with one single software solution, which reflects our pure-play, multidomain approach.
From an end user perspective, we think the ability to use a single software solution to manage and govern the entire life cycle of master and reference data has many benefits:
For your MDM initiative, EBX5 allows to model any domain of master data as well as relationships between domains. Relationship management is critical as your MDM hub growths in order to maintain consistency. Aaron Zornes pointed that this is something very difficult to achieve with an MDM platform that relies on multiple software such as CDI, PIM.
Aaron Zornes explained that RDM (Reference Data Management) is a great starting point for any MDM program and requires some highly sophisticated capabilities for version control, authoring and hierarchy management. As reference data is foundational, and used by your master data, it make sense to rely on the same software platform to manage both reference and master data
Finally the inclusion of Orchestra Networks in the MDG (Master Data Governance) field report reflects our focus on delivering proactive data governance capabilities to business users, in particular with our embedded workflow and authoring UI, but also with upcoming features to be announced soon.
