Company ProfileThis Fortune Global 500 Company is a world-leading supplier of technology, integrated project management and information solutions to customers working in the oil and gas industries. It employs more than 100,000 people and works in approximately 80 countries. SituationThe company launched this MDM initiative with the goal of building a central point of management for their organizational structures and employees. Organizational elements such as markets, business units or geographic area were defined in different formats in their existing systems. In addition, employees were managed in heterogeneous systems ranging from enterprise directories to human resources applications. ChallengeThe project objective was to design a unified description of organizational and employee hierarchies and to synchronize this central MDM with existing applications.
