National Center for Scientific Research selects Orchestra Networks Master Data Management solution EBX.Platform

Paris, October 22, 2010. Orchestra Networks, a leading Multidomain Master Data Management software vendor, announces that the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) has selected EBX.Platform solution as its master data governance platform.

Selecting a Master Data Management solution was a critical componen of CNRS’ strategy for improving governance of its data. As with many large organizations, CNRS relies on multiple shared data in order to define its organization, assets, resources and activities. The deployment of an MDM solution will improve master data quality and will also return control of this now critical asset to business teams.

The selection process for a Master Data Management solution by CNRS was based on two key criteria:

  • Demonstrate flexibility in managing any type of master data. During the MDM software evaluation process EBX.Platform demonstrated its ability to model and manage many different types of data. This unique Multidomain capability is possible thanks to the Model-driven approach of EBX.Platform. This clearly differentiates the Orchestra Networks solution from other software available on the market designed to manage product or customer data only.
  • Achieve a high level of business user adoption.EBX.Platform is the only MDM software solution to provide all of the data governance features in a unified, web-based user interface. As consequence, business and IT teams can collaborate on both data modeling and data management. EBX.Platform features address all key business needs such as data model and rules definition, hierarchy management, collaborative workflows, configuration or management of past, present and future versions.

A Master Data Management program is predominantly a business initiative”, say René Pelfresne, IT Urbanisation Manager at CNRS. Serge Legaud, MDM project lead adds. “The EBX.Platform from Orchestra Networks allows our business teams to effectively collaborate on master data for which they are responsible as well as provide corporate confidence as a consequence of this structured governance.

To maximize existing infrastructure investments, specifically in the areas of Data Integration and Data Quality, CNRS defined an architectural need for a standards based integration and interoperability of the chosen solution. EBX.Platform provides technological neutrality allowing the preservation of a clear decoupling between integration tools and MDM.

Orchestra Networks has been recognized as a Master Data Management specialist for 10 years. We have selected a partner committed to innovation with a clear and focused product strategy” says Jean-Marc Voltini, Chief Information Officer of CNRS.

We are proud of our collaboration with CNRS. This confirms the adoption of EBX.Platform as a Multidomain MDM platform, able to manage all types of master data and to connect to major data integration tools” says Christophe Barriolade, President & CEO of Orchestra Networks.
