EBX.Platform is a standard-based software solution. It can be easily deployed on any Java server and RDBMS.

Components

» Core Engine provides all features for managing data models and data values, including version control (branches and versions), inheritance, validation (business rules and integrity controls), role-based security. Based on a unique caching technology, it provides high performances. Core Engine also provides a Java API for connecting any Java program to EBX.Platform. See also Features.
 
» Data Governance UI is a web application for end-users. It is based on a unique technology for dynamically generating user interface from data modeling. UI provides all governance features including data modeling, table & hierarchy management, search, CRUD, workflow, administration. See also Features.
 
» Data Services dynamically exposes your data as Web Services. Based on SOAP/WSDL standards, Data Services provides all operations on repository and data. Data Services can be easily consumed by any middleware solution supporting SOAP/WSDL. Data Services comply with WS-I and WSSE standards. See also:

Technical Requirements
 
» Application Server: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.4 or higher. Any Java application server that complies with Servlet 2.3 (or higher), for example Tomcat 5.0, Tomcat 5.5, WebSphere 5.1 or higher, WebLogic 8.1 or higher.

» Database: Standard data storage on RDBMS including IBM DB2 UDB 8.2 (or higher), Oracle 9i (or higher), Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (or higher). Standalone package (for development purpose) comes with HSQLDB.
 
» Web Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 (or higher), Firefox 1 (or higher)
